An exciting mystery set in 2002, six year after the previous book in the Myron Bolitar series, Darkest Fear. Promise Me, #8 in the series, would be a good book to start with if you don't want to read the entire series. Myron's business, MB SportsReps has morphed into MB Reps an all purpose representation firm, now handling musicians, actors, etc. and includes a run down of the major characters in the series, bringing them up to date.
The series, however, has very little to do with the representation business, and instead focuses on Myron's investigative skills, his partner, Win, as they deal with two missing teenage girls (or are they runaways?) high school seniors, getting into college, unwanted pregnancies, drugs, and evil bad guys. I was totally surprised by (view spoiler).
