Lover Avenged , book #7 in the series: the Black Dagger Brotherhood continues the complex, layered story set in the mythical community of Caldwell, New York.

This book is lengthy but worth the read as it ties up some of the ongoing plots, starts a few new ones and continues the story in a riveting fashion. One of the biggest surprises comes from one of the original characters whose sad, sordid past comes to light, his present life begins to unravel and, for a while, his future seems very bleak, if not non-existent. His choices, sacrifices and courage to attempt to build a new, radically different life are fascinating to read.

A good, well-written book, I recommend it highly for adults who like the vampire romance or paranormal genre. There is mature adult subject matter, including graphic sex and violence.
