I listened to this one and I am likely to pick up another book by this author now that I am familiar with his style. Thanks, Rick, for recommending it. This is a fast paced book that begins in a disjointed and mysterious fashion. Everything is tied up neatly at the end and you realize that the clues had been meted out to you. The language can get strong and the details & characters can be sordid. I didn't think this was gratuitous. This seemed to be realistic (although it is often more jarring when you are listening than when you are reading!) Some of the lines were laugh out loud funny delivered by very quirky characters. There is also a lot of color in the narration of the basic story. I think I might recommend this to an Evanovich fan. I would have to try some others to be sure.
