*SPOILERS*

I liked the plot of this story. I've recently become a fan of paranormal stories and while this one was a bit milder in that area, I enjoyed it.

I did think Myra McEntire failed a bit when it came to playing with her characters. I thought that she focused more on the goal than how these characters interact together. I wanted to see more between Emerson and Michael. I definitely got a Twilight feeling between Michael, Emerson and Kaleb, especially when Michael sacrificed his own life and happiness for the goal. I do hope that we explore these characters powers and relationships more in book 2. I could definitely see Lily and Kaleb getting together.

I do agree with other readers...I did think Emerson acted a bit like a petulant child. She has been through a lot, deal with grown up situations at an early age...because of that I thought she'd be more mature.

I thought the twist in Emerson's back story toward the end was very interesting. I didn't see that coming.
