Aidann McConnell is a psychic who left his town of Savannah after his attempt to help find a missing boy went very wrong. Although he has helped many people in the past, this one failure has tainted all of his successes - especially after reporters turned the story into a negative media frenzy, destroying his reputation. In the town of Granville, Lexie Nolan has also experienced her share of disappointment. A journalistic investigation that she started concerning some missing teenage girls was shut down when two of the girls were discovered to be runaways. After additional information comes to light and another young girl goes missing, Lexi is given the green light to restart her investigation but she needs help. Help in the form of mysterious shut-in Aidann McConnell. Will Aidann be able to overcome his fear of being wrong to help this beautiful and determined woman? Even knowing that she is a reporter, part of the society sent him into seclusion only a year prior? This book was pretty good. Aidann's power is interesting and I really liked Lexi's personality. She was witty and energetic without being annoying. She is able to bring Aidann back out of his shell and I feel their interplay was pretty realistic. Meeting Aidann's old team of Extrasensory Agents that arrive to assist is interesting as well. Overall a good first book in a series.
