Well, I am home with a bad sinus cold infection so I had time to read. I liked the previous book about the Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree so I decided to read this one. No disappointment!

Mysterious arrival of two ladies who are trying to stay unnoticed. Arrival of a tough looking character who is up to no good. The local women have their own problems - family deaths, births, loves, economic upheavals - and manage to shore each other up and keep the newcomers safe.

Lots of homemade household recipes and good southern foods. Wow!
