I just found this little pocket book at a used book store and had to pick it up. I just love this document and get chills every time I read it. It's so ballsy and brash. When you stop and think about what it is saying, how it's said, and to whom it's being said you can't help but feel proud and patriotic, no matter what you think of todays political/social/cultural environment. I don't claim to understand every historical reference but the implication of every word make me sit back and reflect on who we are and where we came form as a society. Maybe this all sounds pretty dorky but I just love it and think everyone should read it every so often.
