Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)
by E.L. James (Goodreads Author)
Finished this in one night. This is positively the epitome of erotic, and not for the faint of heart. The most sensual romance I think you can possibly get your hands on--full of BDSM elements.
What really surprised me was how deep this was--it's actually very heartbreaking and dark. An emotional roller coaster. Ana and Christian's relationship is so consuming, dangerous, passionate, sweet, and unhealthy, all at the same time. So you're rooting for it one minute and the next you're wondering how it's possibly going to work out. The more that's revealed about Christian, the more you see how incredibly twisted the whole situation is and where the plot is headed. This is a profound love story: disturbing, haunting, chilling, and incredibly intriguing. One you won't forget and one that will equally intrigue and frighten you, all while swooning to yourself like a lovesick teenager, hoping Ana gets her way and solves the increasingly frustrating, achingly sad, Christian-Grey puzzle. If you love romance, suspense, and don't mind erotica, this is a must-read.

Arrgghh. LOL I was so relieved when I saw the Sept. 15th release date, but thankfully it's only a few weeks away. Game faces on! Can't wait! :D
I know! I'm so curious where this is going to go. I can't even believe there will be 3 books, to be honest. The whole thing dragging out for one book was torture enough!
I know what ya mean!! That's what me and Melissa were saying about book two, but everyone is giving it great reviews!!
I read this whole series back when the author wrote it as a Twilight fanfic. The whole storyline is brilliant, and Im gonna read all of it again as each part is published. 1 of my top faves

Woah....Bella and Edward are so innocent haha. What?! Melissa and Maria, did you know this? Wow. Well I can't wait to see where this is gong to go.

And the story just gets better and better. The original title was Master of the Universe (MOTU) and Master of the Universe II (MOTUII) and E.L James wrote it under the name Snowqueens Icedragon.

I just started seeing the cover pop up all over GR and finally read the synopsis and decided to check it out. It was awesome and I'm glad I did. Eagerly awaiting Sept. 15th now. :)

Its definitely worth being read more than once
I am totally with you on the emotional rollercoaster part. I laughed, cried, and desired. It was hard to contain at times. I loved the emails too - they actually were great and I could totally picture myself saying some of the things and being coy like that. You definitely described Christian Grey to a Tee and I was left with quite a memory for the read :)
You should be ashamed of yourself for giving this book five stars and being turned on by a man BEATING a woman then RAPING her.

#2 - It was CONSENTUAL - not rape
#3 - If you don't like my comments then don't read this site.
You clearly missed the whole point of the story.
