of the comedian memoirs i have recently read, this one is my second favorite. super quick read and lots of good bits; my only complaint is that she is too self-depracating. nobody honestly thinks so low of themselves who is on tv and the covers of many many magazines, in glamourous dresses. modesty is charming, but she is so modest it just starts getting fakey and wearing thin after awhile.

Tracie Wait... What's your no. 1 comedian memoir?

Jenny so glad you asked!
...honestly i forgot what it was when i wrote this review. but i suspect it was steve martin's Born Standing Up? or maybe michael ian black's You're Not Doing It Right. They're both good.
catch the comedy memoir fever!
