really liked it
bookshelves: action-adventure, futuristic, sci-fi, vamps-zombies-werewolves
Read from August 17 to 24, 2011

** spoiler alert ** How can you kill your main character???? Especially when it's written in first person??? I was in complete shock when Grant did that, and I would have been a bit more teary after that if I wasn't reading at work.

Anyway, a really cool book about zombies, politics, and conspiracy. A bit repetetive when it came to explaining how the zombie virus came to be, but other than that the story and information kept moving. Every time I had to put my book down something important or major was happening (there were good pausing points just never when I needed them). A well paced book, with a nice balance of action and thinking suspense ("who dun it" "will they figure it out" type of stuff). One good twist, and another twist I called but then thought was too obvious (Tate being the bad guy ... I totally called him as a red-herring).

A good stand alone, not sure I can read the next book without Georgia.
