Rules of Civility

It took me a long time to finish this book, way longer than I expected. Though I think the main character was smart, witty, snappy and fun, I felt that the story itself lacked a little focus. It wasn't until about two thirds of the way through that I realized what the arc was. Several times characters were reintroduced, and I had to seriously jog my memory to remember their first appearance or relevance. If it hadn't taken so long to read the first time, I'd probably read it again now that I "get" it. I did enjoy that it was a very modern sounding voice attached to a time 80 years before it. And I appreciated finding the actual Rules of Civility at the end of the book.
