Not the most fast-paced book, but it kept me interested and intrigued. Mostly because the previous two were so great. The material seems dated now. It's fun to see all the things that Clarke had imagined we'd develop by 2061, some of which are relatively old technology by now. It doesn't seem like we'll be sending manned missions beyond the moon any time soon, but he does bring up the point that it may be in our self interest at least to explore beyond our world just to find resources to exploit.
