This was great! Fast forward to 2057 and historians are now time travelers, zipping back and forth through history to see what's going on. (It's like the Indiana Jones style of archaeology, I think.) The protagonist, Ned, is sent back to Victorian England on a fact-finding mission. He naturally lands int he midst of a complicated comedy of erros as the space time continuum adapts to make sure that his meddling in 1888 doesn't wreak havoc durin The Blitz. I'm not sure I ultimately followed the explanation but I enjoyed every minute of this book.
