Great read. It's a miracle we are all still here really. Makes you realise that there needs to be a dominant power in the world to maintain peace, because of the perpetual struggle for power and control that seems instinctive in, what is still essentially, the tribal human. I sometimes see everyone speaking English and imagine a disollution of culture is happening, and that this is a bad thing, a loss of culture, but this may be our saving grace. Very interesting discourse on what makes 'civilisation' or deems a particular culture to be advanced compared to another, how the Germans saw efficiency as the pinnacle of human acheivement without any respect for the muse, or creativity....
