The 5th Horseman (Women's Murder Club #5)

This is the fifth book in James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series featuring policewoman Lindsay Boxer and her cohorts.
The plot is centred around Memorial Hospital where seemingly healthy people keep suddenly dying. Once a pattern is established, a number of suspects become apparent. When Assistant DA Yuki's mother becomes a patient at the hospital following a stroke, the case becomes personal for the Women's Murder Club, who do not rest until they identify the murderer.
In my mind another typical Patterson formula thriller. Lots of white pages, short chapters and large text make the pages fly past at a rapid rate. The plot is intriguing enough, the characters are plausible and the pages keep turning to the revealing ending. Like most James Patterson branded books I have read of late, this is a quick read, that delivers entertainment, but is light on substance and quickly forgotten.
