An honest story about AIDS in Africa and its devastating effect on the children. Chanda's baby sister has just died -- she was never well, always had a rash and a cough. When Chanda's mother starts feeling poorly, Chanda has to take on the responsibility of the family. AIDS is a dark, dirty secret in Africa, and nobody will admit to having it, but with so many adults getting sick many children are left to care for their parents and live on their own. Not a happy story, but an important one.
