This book is hilarious and has some great information it in. If you can handle the language, then it's worth reading. If you're learning more about eating right and taking care of yourself, this book can give you a nice kick in the ass. Don't get the cookbook, though, it's not a good one.

Sunni Funny, yes, but the chapter on the conditions of animals and the slaughter stories was downright heartbreaking. I felt shell-shocked after reading it. It reconfirmed my veggie convictions.

Meateaters, though, should all read that chapter even if they don't read the whole book!

Miriam I totally agree that everyone, especially meat eaters should read those animal slaughter chapters. Every time I see beef I think of it. There were similar images in "Fast Food Nation" (that I need to post to my list). I also really like the dairy chapter even if I do partake in a little cheese now and then. The "suck your mother's tit right now - go!" line is a good one.
