Though I've known this story forever, I've never actually gotten around to reading it. Everyone knows the story of brave Achilles, and Hector breaker of horses, and the beautiful Helen, and wily Odysseus, and everybody else. Honestly, the list is endless, because this story has more freaking characters than all Tolkien's works put together. This story is a classic, possibly THE classic, but it doesn't mean it's the most interesting. Good, yes, but so dry, and so long, and really long passages about nothing but bloodshed and war descriptions. Definately not my cup of tea, but I'm happy to say I have read it.

But seriously, who knew the infamous Trojan Horse isn't even mentioned in this poem?!? I feel lied to by every history teacher or English teacher I've ever had...
