What an interesting idea: a book about books, and characters coming to life in the 'real' world. People 'reading' characters into and out of books. What fun to meet Tinkerbell and the Steadfast Tin Soldier. Every character is deeply involved with books in some way. The climactic scene was as full of suspense as any I've read. I think my favorite parts of the book were the exerpts from OTHER books at the beginning of each chapter...Princess Bride, Wind in the Willows, Once and Future King, LOTR. Funke loves books as much as I do.
