I was expecting a discourse on how important video games are to society, perhaps with a business bent. This is not that book. Instead, I found an entertaining and engrossing description of the design and the playing of some console video games over the past few years. I found the discussion on how developers make decisions on gameplay that have moral implications very enlightening. Bissell exposes the deep thought (or impulse) behind the actions of the games as well as the gamers. A good read.
