really liked it
Read from August 14 to 28, 2011

I liked the fast pace of the book, it kept me turning pages (on my kindle). There was a lot going on in the story including some hard to believe situations but it did keep me reading and I liked the characters.

Karen Vail, an FBI profiler is on the case of the Dead Eyes killer. He is quite brutal and leaves a clue at all the scenes, "It's in the...".

Karen is divorced but her ex is abusing their 14 year old son. She is trying to get the custody order changed when Jonathan has an "accident" and is in a coma. Vail is also facing court when Deacon presses charges when she defended herself against him.

With all this going on as well as a more personal issue, Vail thinks she might be losing her edge to profile the Dead Eyes killer.
