I will admit that I read this trilogy as one big long novel, so that my have influenced my opinion of this book. I did enjoy the story, but not so much because of the main characters of this story but for the little bits I got to read of Daniel, who was the main character of the last story. I just didn't warm up to Susanah, but I'm not really sure why.
I couldn't figure out how she seemed to blame her brother for the sins of the other men in her life.
Luke was a character I did enjoy, and his family made wonderful secondary characters.
