Spores from outer space settle into moist dark human places and begin to grow, causing itching, swelling, and insanity. Typical tough CIA agent, sexy but savvy scientist, and rogue cop narrow in on victim zero, an ex U of M football star with an anger management problem who happens to be growing a triangular pod seedling in his groin. The plot is predictable and the gore WAY too frequent and lovingly detailed. Not one to enjoy over lunch.
