Feeling very self-conscious, and um, exposed, I nevertheless told him the truth but downplayed the "I am desperate and reading self-help books on love" part. Even though the title is "cheesy"if not "new agey", the book is pretty down to earth. I recommend it to anyone interested in developing a good, healthy relationship. (Not that I'm an expert, but the author sure seems to be.)
