Enjoyable story about a boy's family who moves to Alcatraz Island so his father can be a prison guard to pay for his handicapped (mostly likely autistic) sister's special school. I loved all the details about the island and San Francisco during the depression and one family's struggle to see their daughter as 'normal'. I loved Moose and Natalie's friendship. He really watches out for her and the ending Fit perfectly with the rest of the story.
