I really liked this book and there is a part of me that's really glad that everything turns out okay for Jenna in the end.

What bothers me about this book is that this author took an opportunity to really deal with an issue teens go through today and they shied away from it. I think this book would have had much more of an impact on me had it actually dealt with the aftermath of the attempted date rape or an actual date rape. So much bothered me about how glossed over everything after the attempt was. They basically skipped everything and went to the recovered stage.

It's a decent book and I genuinely liked it, but I can't bring myself to give it anything more than two stars because it didn't deal with the issue. I would have loved to see how Jenna got through it. It would have been a siren call for all the girls out there with similar experiences to know that they too will be okay in the long run.

But I digress.
