 rating: 5 of 5 stars For my NHD project I did a project on The little rock nine.The project type that I did was and group exhibit I did this porject along with Antionette Marks and Derelle Ivery.This book was one of our resources and I thought it was a really good book.In this essay I am going to talk about why I liked this book and what information I learned from this book.
 
 First I am going to talk about why it was a good book.This is a really great story and it touch many of my emotions on so many diffrent levels.First when I first read the book I thought oh let me get it over with because I need a grade. I had to read this for a NHD project but when I read it it turned my hold point of view for this book.I loved this book I couldn't put it down it was a shame the way these students was getting treated just to further they education.These student was getting taunted and being abuse verbally one of the kids was expelled for sticking up for herself these kids went to sleep each night wondering what's going to happen.This book taught me so much and I learned to take advantage of my education to make people like them who open doors for kids like me today proud and happy for what they did.
 
 Now I am going to talk about what I learned and how much I respect them.When I read this book the first impression I had was these nine kids was so brave and changed history forever.The things these kids been through I would had never went through with it I would have gave up.I respect these nine kids on so many diffrent levels and I bow down to them for making such a diffrece to make kids like me go to good schools and get equal oppurtunity in education.I f I could see all these kids today I would ask them how they do it because the things they been through and the challenges they face many kids wouldn't have done.I think what they did was awesome and brave and they opened doors for many ki8ds in the united staes today.
 
 I just express why I think this book was good and what I learned from the book.This was a really great book and I think every kid in the philadelphia area should read it to find out how these seven kids open doors for many kids today.
