did not like it
bookshelves: cringe-festival
Read from August 13 to 14, 2011

I can't believe I'm giving this just one star. But I have to be honest and say it was terrible. Centered on the aftermaths of breakups written from three POVs, the story was too muddled it became pointless midway through the end. While I do appreciate Susan Colasanti's efforts in bringing in a myriad of social issues, the problem was there were just too many. For instance, just as I was getting into the dynamics of Rhiannon's ironic character, the next page I am swooped into Nicole's cluttered mind or James's disturbed peace. Add to that, the writing style was v. annoying; I felt like Colasanti was dumbing her characters down. I hope the next Colasanti book I read will redeem her because I don't want her to end up in my list of one-shot authors.
