Someone told me this was a juvenile fiction series when I first started it. I was disabused of that notion very quickly. This is a long book but it is broken up by the story being told by different characters and viewpoints, so it hops around and breaks up the illusion of length.

It started a little slowly for me. I started engaging somewhere around the 100 page mark. The characters are vibrant and interesting and it is nice that the author allows us to view the story through their different eyes.

E. R. Yes, I liked it a lot. Very evocative. The TV series is very well done too. It's very adult.
