I should mark it with 5 stars because it is amazing how Daniel Silva can create a story with so many layers and little sub-stories. Just when I thought all the questions had been answered along came another chapter.
Our art-restorer/sometime spy Gabriel Allon is in trouble this time, framed for a murder he did not commit. In an effort to clear himself and figure out why him, Allon uncovers mysteries all the way back to WWII, the Nazis, the Jews, and stolen art and treasures still un-recovered from the dark days of Hitler.
A great read, but why not go back and start with the first one called The Kill Artist? I did after reading The Confessor first.
