It's been a while since I've read anything in the world of Pern but I still remembered some familiar names and situations, which allowed me to appreciate this collection of short stories of the early days of Pern, during its initial colonization. My favourite story is "The Second Weyr", perhaps because it is the one which allows us the glimpse of the future of this world. I also really liked "The Dolphins' Bell" and "The Ford of Red Hanrahan", which introduced us all to the most famous Hold in Pern history, Ruatha Hold.

It was great returning to this world after so long.
