Finished this over the weekend. I had read it as a child along with every other Marguerite Henry book I could find (like Rosalinde & bookhunter21). I was one of those girls who fell in love with horses (well, really I loved dogs & cats too) in elementary school, so I am familiar with the horse terminology.

This time around, the book made me wonder what life would be like if you were not be able to speak at all. Agba seemed to handle it with grace and dignity - I'm not sure I could do as well
