Set in the 1880's, a rich American woman is looking for a titled English husband. This novel primarily follows a few years in the life of Cora Cash, following her debut, but it also has a side story of her maid, Bertha. If you liked Downton Abbey, I think this is a book for you, although I do not think it is as nuanced as Downton Abbey and I saw the plot twist five miles away.
