Sherry's review
The Coffee Trader
by David Liss (Goodreads author!)
Heh -- I don't recall if I drank more than the usual daily quota of coffee when I read this one or not, Sherry. But I loved the book and the fact that this was another instance of very early "stock exchange" action on a given product very similar to the one on tulips when they first came into "fashion" in Holland -- title is escaping me at the moment on that one.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this book. I still don't really what a "put" is or what a "call" is, but it is fun to know that this practice was done so long ago. People are really the same, it seems. For some reason, though, I was always wanting a cup of that hot bitter liquid when I listened to this--even though I had already drunk my daily allotment.
