The Newsflesh trilogy has been an exciting journey, but like many series, there often seems to be an element of 'running out of steam' by the end of it. That's not to say this is a bad book by any stretch, it's not - I liked it. I almost like it a lot, but there were a couple of elements that spoilt the overall story for me.

Firstly, while the first three-quarters of the book are pretty exciting, the last part of the book - the wrap-up of the finale - seemed somewhat rushed. Suddenly the story was all over, with barely a couple of blog entries - admittedly in keeping with the book's style - to tie up the loose ends.

Secondly, a couple of story details, which could be considered spoilers ... (view spoiler)

As an added bonus, the Kindle edition contains a few sample chapters from the Newsflesh prequel novella Countdown .
