I really enjoyed this book, perhaps a lot more than I thought I would. Granted, this book is not for everyone. There are some very gritty moments that might not be suitable for readers who prefer to spend their afternoons without mental images of baseball size holes in arms. But if you go into it with that in mind, it is a very readable account of the depths of drug abuse.

I found it especially interesting because the author is about my age and from the area where I live and work now, so a lot of the things he discussed were very familiar and interesting. This saddened me on a personal level, but also made the book very accessible.
