really liked it

I read this as an adult, but enjoyed it. The squabbling children are very realistic siblings; I only wish I could leave my two year old for my older kids to watch all day! jk This theme can be found even in ancient myths: to be careful what you wish for, because "the gods" or "fate" can twist your joyous expectations to disappointment. It is fun to imagine what you would wish for if you had a Psammead in your back yard! I did notice how constantly the children were hungry or concerned about food! Every chapter, they were compaining needing a meal! Made me hungry just reading it!
