Another heart wrenching book. I have to say that this is also not a book for the light-hearted. The book goes into intra-racial hierarchies and the social barriers that exist within the white culture. It specifically goes into the pains of being "white trash" and to make it worse, to be considered a "bastard" child. The story is a real one, and by the end, you would want to kill both parents. Uber warning though, contains incest, rape, violence, and racial slurs.
