I enjoyed this story very much--fascinating life of the keepers of the Warsaw Zoo in WWII and how they helped many fugitive Jews during the war. My only quibble was a rather odd writing style on the part of Ackerman. I'm not sure she knows the meanings of all the words she likes to use. I spent a lot of time with my head cocked to one side. But the story is terrific.
