really liked it
bookshelves: 2008-ish
Read in October, 2008

A decent read, full of enough little case studies which are interesting enough in themselves even if you don’t want to prescribe to the comparison of virology to social dynamics. A few of the examples were applied a little too overeagerly, with no entertaining of alternatives, but that’s to be expected. The chapter on Sesame Street & Blue’s Clues felt like I was being dragged back into an undergraduate Developmental Psychology lecture, of which I’ve had more than enough of. Perhaps though it just says more about me that I wanted more chapters on AIDS and shooting people.
