The Haunted Hotel: A Mystery of Modern Venice
by Wilkie Collins
by Wilkie Collins
Not my favorite of Collins' work, but I still really enjoyed it. I love the Gothic genre, and this is an excellent example of romantic macabre. The over-abundance of characters made the story a little bit hard to follow, but the plot was interesting and the writing style had a hypnotic quality that kept me reading.
