really liked it
bookshelves: humor, non-fiction, sciencey

It is so tempting to use the words "delicious", "sweet" and even "creamy nougat filling" when describing this book. So I will resist. What I will say is that after only a few pages, I wanted to befriend Mr. Almond, and make him take me along on his factory tours. I also want to confide that I, too, was duped by the Jelly Belly tour and felt a distinct quiver of righteous indignation that I wasn't going to see actual candy being made. What I loved about this book was the combination of sweet, gooey reminiscence, enrobed in a sort of dark, crunchy post modern coating. Thanks Steve.
