it was amazing

Age:
Grades K-3

Genre:
realistic fiction

Diversity:
Colombian

Illustrations:
The illustrations are created with acrylic paint, pen, and ink.

Personal response:
Again, this is another book that I enjoyed because it is based off of a true story/person. The story is so sweet about a man who decides to share his books with neighboring small villages by traveling on two burros to bring them books each week. It is a great story to show how important books and reading are to people.

Curricular or programming connections:
This book would be good for a social studies lesson on Colombia.
