liked it

What a gift it is to read an Anne Rice book, my only regret is that now I've finished it brings me one step closer to having read all of her vampire books. Each page flows with Anne Rice's rich dark elegant descriptions. On top of all the beauty this book has to offer it also gives a great history lesson. The story did have lagging moments, Marius does a lot of moping. I would have liked if more had been done with the Black Death. Bianca was a likeable character before turning into a vampire; then all she seemed to do was cry and became annoying. I wish Amedeo/Armand got to shine a bit more in the plot. I loved the image of Marius burnt to a black skeleton, wearing a black mask and hunting with Biance through the cannals of Venice. The book has a beautiful ending.
