It's funny but I actually borrowed this from the library on accident. I had wanted to see the video on a whim, but I forgot to check the actual medium this story was being presented in. When the hold came in to pick up, I decided to read the book anyway. I like to think I'm not much of a snob when it comes to books. I like reading the classics and all that jazz but every now and then I like a good suspense or horror book. I'll admit this one was quite the page turner at first. Its a good book for what it is-a christian horror book (seems like an oxymoron to me but hey what do I know?). Did I necessarily like the twist on the theme of salvation? No. I'm the kind of person who finds C.S. Lewis annoying for his "beat the reader over the head with a christian allegory" method of writing. Yes the reader coming to this book looking for characterization and overarching themes relating to the meaning of life will be dissapointed, but those looking for horror book with a distinctivel christian twist will be grateful.
