I would actually give this another half star, if I could. It was very interesting and illuminating, and not really at all what I expected when I started. The way it was told was especially interesting, with three-quarters being told in a journal style, complete with a few unexpected pages full of nothing but scribbled, angry cross-outs. A separate chapter was told in letters from different characters that were not the main character. Still, it missed a little something that would make me keep it instead of donate it to the library. I'm not intrigued enough to read the next book immediately, but maybe someday I'll check it out.
