I thought this was a sweet story. I gave it only three stars because it didn't completely blow me away, but it was both enjoyable and entertaining. The magic aspect was a nice twist. Without saying too much, I think it took what would have otherwise been a little sad and made it light and fun. It depends on how you look at it. Personally, I think there are two ways to see the story. You can read the book, keep it light, and just enjoy the story. Or, you can look a little deeper at what each of the characters is telling you and gain a few life lessons from the story. I sort of did both. I just read it and it enjoyed it first. A day later, I thought about some of the characters and what I could learn from them. I'll leave it at that. You can read the story and decide for yourself what you want it to say to you.
