really liked it
bookshelves: science-fiction

A thought-provoking story of Contact, or rather, groping towards Contact... Some minor mysteries were left unresolved at the end, which I found disappointing, and the "science" was obviously dated, but those are minor quibbles. Some might find the plot implausibly contrived. Still, a provocative book and at the end, in its way, even moving.
