Turn of Mind is about a hand surgeon, Jennifer, who has Alzheimer's whose friend and neighbor, with whom she had a complicated friendship, is found murdered with four of her fingers surgically removed. Jennifer is the prime suspect, but her mental state presents some difficulties. Jennifer narrates the novel and I liked the challenge presented by her stream of conscious narration, while suffering from dementia. The novel is a page turner, where nothing and nobody is quite as it seems, and I thrilled having my assumptions upended at the book's end. Very well done.
