Droll account of warm, loving, liberal and incredibly entitled family living in the book's eponymous title. A sort of Victorian plot keeps the action moving, as does the (predictable but satisfying) romance between two of the story's characters. I am a big fan of both the book and the neighborhood, but frankly it sort of made me glad I live on the East Side.
